Mac Word Font Issue I opened up a Word document that I last used last year in Word v16.12 (Mac OS 10.13.4), and one of the fonts (Fette Frakter) did not display. So tried a blank document and Fette Frakter did not appear in the font list there, either. The weird thing is it DOES show up in Excel, though it is also missing from Powerpoint.

Small Basic can be run on Mac OS in a browser using the SIlverlight plug in. The Silverlight plug-in is supported by Safari and Firefox (browser for Mac OS X). Published Small Basic programs can be run in these browsers. Some fonts are common to both Mac and Windows such like Arial, Courier New, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS and so on. Even on a small network (10-20 workstations) there will often be thousands and thousands of open files, all open in Read mode. These files opened in Read only mode are not an issue on a server running a Unix-type operating system. Unix is able to move, rename and delete files that are. You can fix most common causes of a slow Mac yourself, and relatively easily. Here are some of the easier tips you can try to speed up your Mac. Hardware issues, though, are the exception. If your Mac has a problem with a particular component, the fix becomes more complicated.
